YIT’s housing project is one of the most energy efficient building in Latvia

Winners of contest "The most energy efficient building in Latvia" have been announced end of June. Our project Domino has received 1st place in category “Energy efficient apartment building 2017. New building.” This is the 3rd time when YIT project receives recognition in this contest. Main task of the contest is to promote good practice in the field of energy efficiency. Target is to raise awareness about heat resistance of buildings and the role of greenhouse gas emissions in order to create high quality living space and expressive architecture.

 Main evaluation criteria of projects are:

• achieved total heat consumption for heating and hot water,

• heat savings after renovation;

• as secondary criteria were set solutions of ventilation’s system, sustainable solutions and quality of building.

 The contest 7th time was organized by The Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the Republic of Latvia and the magazine „Buvinzenieris”.

Residential building “Domino” is located in quiet and calm area – Sampeteris, but in same time relatively close to city centre. Tasteful 4-5 storey house offers one, two, three and four room apartments (51 in total). Project “Domino” combines Finnish taste and quality. Nearby shopping malls, good infrastructure, health care, schools and kindergartens.
